Seeking a rewarding role in senior care? Donwell House Care Home is currently looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to provide exceptional care and support to our residents with complex needs.
As a member of the Bondcare group, Donwell House Care Home fosters a nurturing environment where residents experience dignity, respect, and independence. Our highly skilled team prioritizes person-centered care, emotional well-being, and social engagement, and we're excited to welcome a Senior Care Assistant to join our committed team.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and provide top-quality care
- Guide and oversee junior and new staff members
- Develop care plans and risk assessments
- Ensure privacy and dignity for the dying and bereaved
- Address all aspects of service users' care needs
- Conduct regular checks on service users
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
- Attend mandatory training days/courses
**Required Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications**:
- Genuine interest in working with the target service user group
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Confident team player
- Satisfactory policy check and ISA list verification
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to participate in vocational training programs
**Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications**:
- Previous experience with the target service user group
- NVQ Level 3 in Care
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge/experience in safe medicine handling
