**What you'll be doing...**
As a Risk Lead, you will assume a pivotal position in a newly created role within the Business Assurance function, working closely with internal audit and health and safety teams. Your responsibilities will encompass various facets of risk management, including maintaining the strategic risk register, developing risk policies and procedures, and effectively utilizing risk management software. Additionally, you will collaborate on strategic risk reports for the leadership team and engage with senior stakeholders to identify and update operational risks and controls.

Emergency planning will also be a significant focus area, where you will oversee the development and maintenance of the business continuity plan, coordinate training and testing of emergency planning arrangements, and work alongside relevant stakeholders to ensure preparedness for major incidents. Furthermore, you will contribute to fraud prevention and anti-money laundering efforts by maintaining risk registers, policies, and delivering training programs. In your role, you will also oversee the management of information governance and insurance-related matters.

As part of the business assurance team, your core responsibilities will involve providing risk management leadership, supporting their audit and risk committee, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Leveraging your expertise, you will contribute to the achievement of the organisation's strategic objectives, fostering an environment where customers and employees take pride in the services provided.

**What you'll need to offer...**

You'll be demonstrating practical experience in risk management, including the use of frameworks.

A recognized qualification in risk management or extensive senior-level experience in a similar capacity is required.

Experience in business continuity, major incident planning, and assurance mapping will be highly advantageous.
