**The Role**:
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Youtube Script Writer and Researcher to join our team.

**_ Please note, we are looking for someone with script writing experience writing in someone’s tone of voice (not a copywriter). It is strongly desired that this within the Youtube space, or you possess a strong understanding of Youtube script structures._**

This role is ideal for individuals who are fascinated by true crime, possess excellent research skills, and have a knack for compelling storytelling.

As a Youtube Script Writer and Researcher, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and creating content that both informs and captivates our audience.

**Scriptwriting**:

- Write engaging and well-researched true crime scripts for the creators youtube channel that adheres to our company's editorial guidelines. This will extend to other forms of content such as social posts.
- Write compelling narratives that provide readers/viewers with a deep understanding of the cases, motives, and key characters involved - narratives must work for visual and audio only consumption
- Writing brand briefs where needed

**Editing and Proofreading**:

- Peer review work and edit content for accuracy, grammar, and style consistency
- Ensure that all content meets high editorial standards and maintains the Creator’s tone of voice

**Research and Investigation**:

- Conduct in-depth research into true crime cases and mystery cases, including gathering information from reliable sources such as news articles, books, documentaries, and interviews
- Analyse and evaluate the credibility of sources to ensure accuracy and authenticity, logging all sources

**Time Management**:

- Managing timelines and deadlines with efficiency

...1 + year in scriptwriting for online platforms, Youtube or podcasting (desirable)
...Proficiency in using research tools, databases, and online resources
...A passion for true crime and a genuine interest in the genre

...Exceptional research skills, including the ability to gather information from a variety of sources
...Strong storytelling abilities with an emphasis on creating engaging narratives
...Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
...Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
...Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
...(desirable) Familiarity with SEO and digital content best practices
