- Under general supervision, performs assembly, testing, and installation of Expandable Liner Hangers (ELH) and Service Tool on work locations.
- Occasionally performs as a one-man service crew.
- Routinely works in more than one type of well site (Deep Water, Jack-Up, and Remote jobsite experience) as assigned by Service Coordinator.
- Routinely works in more than one type of well site as assigned by Service Coordinator.
- Coordinates and oversees service tools (i.e., ELH Running Tools, Float Equipment, Cement Heads, DSS, etc) functions at the well site.
- May help train service operators in areas of expertise.
- Will monitor instruments and perform necessary calculations to assure quality of data/job.
- Consults with customers concerning services and products, and promotes good customer relations at the well site, and assures customer satisfaction with results.
- Properly maintains assigned equipment and monitors compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
- Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
- Skills typically acquired through completion of high school diploma or similar education and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Specialist-ELH, I.
- Basic knowledge of Well Construction basics required.
- Knowledgeable of HMS processes and Service Tool/ELH Operation Maintenance Manuals required.
- Must be able to visually identify various ELH tool components by type and size and explain function of each.
- Must have demonstrated ability to work safely with hand tools.
- Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Service Specialist I - ELH.
- Must follow all Health, Safety and Environment best practices, be able to complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) on prescribed tasks and demonstrate Safety in Lifting.
- Must be able to explain the function of the mobilization documentation.
- The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
