Oscar technology are working with a large firm based in Liverpool looking for a Power BI report builder who will play a crucial role in migrating their Tableau dashboards to Power BI.

Vacacy details:

- Develop power BI reports: design develop and deploy dashboards for the needs of their stakeholders
- Migrate reports from Tableau to Power BI ensuring a smooth transition
- Data modelling and transformation: optimise data models for performance and scalability
- Data visualisation: create visually compelling and interactive reports using power BI
- Report optimisation: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance report performance and optmise data refresh processes
- Documentation and training: Create detailed documentation of data models, report specs and development processes, conduct training sessions and provide gudance for users to utilise power BI effectively

**Requirements**:

- Power BI expertise: Demonstrable experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards. Strong understanding of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and related tools. Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M (Power Query Formula Language).
- Tableau proficiency: Proficiency in Tableau with experience in developing reports and visualizations. Familiarity with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep. Ability to migrate reports from Tableau to Power BI smoothly.
- Data analysis and modelling: Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and data modelling principles. Experience in working with complex datasets, performing data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation.
- Data visualization skills: Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices. Ability to create visually appealing and effective reports and dashboards that enable users to gain insights quickly.
- SQL proficiency: Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation. Ability to write complex queries and optimize SQL queries for performance.
