**Support Worker - No Experience Needed**

We are currently looking for a Night Support Worker in Meldreth (South Cambridgeshire / North Hertfordshire border Nr Royston), where you will be offering a supportive living and learning environment for young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. With specialist facilities and a focus on promoting independence, we support each of our young people through the transition from education into adulthood with a focus on person-centred programmes to promote independence.

We work with people with multiple disabilities who may have sensory and physical impairments who benefit from our specialist facilities that have been designed to meet their needs.

Full training provided and once passed probation we will support and fund studying the Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care

**No experience necessary, full training given and fully funded study for Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification.**

Our Client specialize in supportive living and learning environment for young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. With specialist facilities and a focus on promoting independence, we support each of our young people through the transition from education into adulthood.

**The Role**:

- Provide the highest level of care for our young adults
- Assist with getting them ready for bed which includes washing and changing
- Encouraging a healthy sleeping pattern where possible
- Checking on them all throughout the night and dealing with any incidents that may occur
- Ensuring that medical needs are met at all times
- This is a waking night position; so in the quiet periods you will also be expected to get involved in some light housekeeping duties (such as loading the dishwasher, laundry and keeping the environment tidy).
- In the morning you’ll then assist with supporting our young adults to get up, washed and dressed, ready for the day.
- The key to this role will be your ability to communicate effectively, build trusting relationships and provide the support required to enable our young adults to become more autonomous.

**Responsibilities**:

- Willingness to learn and to go the extra mile
- Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
- Exceptional communication skills and patience
- Resilient with a robust and positive nature
- Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of the young adults.
- Must be able to complete 2 weeks full time induction (Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm) before starting night shifts
- Ability to work on a rota pattern which will include working every other weekend

It is a tough yet totally rewarding role. Ultimately, we are looking for people with a passion to build relationships and positively change the lives of the young adults that we work with.

**Qualifications**:

- Welcome bonus is payable in 2 payments - 50% following successful completion of probation and 50% after one year service
- No experience required - Full training given and continued support
