**Freight Forwarder**

An opportunity has arisen for a Freight Forwarder to join our Customer Services team at our Alpi office in Tamworth.

We are Alpi UK Ltd - part of the Albini & Pitigliani group of companies. We have provided freight forwarding services and logistics solutions for 70 years. Still a family run company we treat people as people, not numbers.

Office hours: Monday - Friday 08:30hrs - 17:30hrs (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Salary Range: Depending on experience: £27,000 - £30,000k (DOE) per annum

The Role
- Ensure customer Bookings are accurately taken & entered operations system, International, National and cross trade
- Provide customers with accurate and cost-effective quotations within a timely fashion
- Confirm quotations received by telephone (within half an hour)
- Booking consignments with third party contractors
- Quoting cross trade consignments
- Booking deliveries in with customers
- Liaising with suppliers / Origin Offices
- Build strong relationships with customers
- Invoicing and Administration
- Ensure Bookings made with Origin office
- Build strong supplier base
- Aid Credit Controller with the collection of overdue payments from suppliers or clients

Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Excel reporting
- Good team working skills
- Freight Forwarding (desirable)
