Officer: Quality and Safety

Principal Duties and Responsibilities To support the place-based quality and safety team in monitoring quality and safety arrangements and implementation of national, regional and local initiatives for safety and quality. To work collaboratively with the Incident and Learning Team to provide information for the incident management databases so that information is current and accurate. To collate, analyse and triangulate quality data and intelligence, including analysis and presentation of graphs and control charts, and prepare reports to various committees, which will assist in evaluation of the services being provided. To support the team in the monitoring of actions and acting on intelligence in relation to the quality of commissioned services.
To capture and maintain data relevant to quality within a dashboard. To assist in the collation and monitoring of action plans pertaining to quality information such as serious incident investigations To support and coordinate preparatory work for regulatory and other quality visits Managing the electronic diary for the team, including managing and prioritising appointments as appropriate. Ensuring all urgent and/or confidential communications are received and distributed from/to relevant parties in a timely manner. Supporting teams in project management and participating in departmental projects and meetings.
Inputting, monitoring and checking data, required for finite and ongoing projects within the teams. Liaising with wider ICB teams to enable collaborative working and communication of information as required. Acting as a point of contact for teams, dealing and responding effectively with complex queries from stakeholders and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members sensitively and autonomously. Supplying the relevant information required for financial management, supporting the head of department and teams by checking and sending invoices for payment.
Developing and maintaining effective electronic filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team. Access and input to Datix system as required, generate reports when requested by team members. Working collaboratively with Incident & Learning Team Support the development of policies/ procedures for use within the Quality & Safety Team. Liaising with other place-based Quality & Safety Teams across the ICB.
Participate in Research and Development activities as required. Maintain stock control of stationery and assets within the Quality & Safety Team. To undertake administrative duties such as photocopying, and mail-out distributions and ensure all urgent and/or confidential communications are received and distributed from/to relevant parties in a timely manner To work together with other administrators/PAs within the ICB to provide an effective network of communication including dealing with visitors to the base and being flexible to cover other administrators general duties on the base and to carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required
