Contingent Worker: Software Contractor

This is a contingent worker role and has been assessed as INSIDE IR35, duration of the contract will be min 9 months.

Role Purpose:
Independent verification of processes utilized by our client for their internal software development used to perform offline conversion of the connection technology and communications, prior to being integrated with their mission-critical live system.

Contract is likely to involve multiple periods of time at client’s (Southern UK) site.

Key Responsibilities:

- Initial phase will be to define and plan the necessary activities to perform second phase.
- Second phase will be the actual independent verification. This will involve detailed analysis of their software architecture, the connection technology and communications protocols (existing and new), and software development processes used to perform the conversion.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

- Considerable experience of low-level/embedded software development.
- Good understanding of the OSI model and experience with various communications protocols.
- UK Eyes only and must have or be able to achieve at least SC clearance.

Desired Skills:

- Experience of Stratus PC technology could be beneficial.
