**The role**:
The Information Management Department at Northumbria Police are undertaking a significant programme to transform how data and records are managed across the Force to best service our communities. The Force has provided significant investment for the Data Management and Assessment Team which is transforming how we manage information assets.

The purpose of this programme is to improve the management, indexing and access to both physical and electronic based documentation. You will join a hard-working, business focused team who will manage a varied workload reviewing, retaining or destroying archived physical operational records.

You’ll need to be hard-working and conscientious, with the ability to manage a varied workload. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an interesting area of Northumbria Police where you’ll liaise with colleagues across the force and find plenty of opportunities for development.

**What will I be doing?**
- Maintaining an accurate record of processed data, both physical and electronic.
- Ensuring effective and timely processing of records/information
- Using a range of IT systems to update records, retrieve and store data.
- Providing exceptional customer service to colleagues requesting support.
- Processing enquiries and redirecting to other services where necessary.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the processing of data is efficient.

**What do I need?**
- You’ll need to be a confident communicator.
- To have worked as part of a team (personally or professionally)
- To be able to demonstrate experience in administrative support.
- A keen eye for detail ensuring all data processed is recorded accurately
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional service.
- Experience of working successfully with others.

Full training will be provided but any previous experience of working in an environment where you have been required to maintain the integrity of personal data, such as customer order details, would be desirable.
