Our team in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are recruiting for an experienced Clinical Lead, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. Reporting into the Service Manager, you will lead on and be responsible for the provision of clinical care in our services, ensuring that our standards of care allow service users to achieve their recovery goals. A dynamic leader, you will guide and support clinical staff working within the service, working hand in hand with the service manager to foster a continuous improvement mindset and ensuring that evidence based best clinical practice is delivered in line with national, organisational and local standards. You will promote a care quality governance structure that is built on open engagement, enquiry and learning, whilst working collaboratively across professional and organisational boundaries, to maximise the potential for delivering excellent care quality. It will be vital for you to develop strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders and commissioners for the continuity of service, as well as leading on delivering opioid substitution and detoxification treatment, alcohol detoxification and relapse prevention treatment and other clinical interventions.

You will be a compassionate and motivated registered nurse or pharmacist who holds a prescribing qualification, with the ability to connect quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. We’re looking for substantial experience working within the substance misuse arena, as well as experience working in a supervisory role within a multidisciplinary team. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively. It is important that you have sound knowledge of current health and social care issues, with the specific knowledge around the relationship between offending and substance misuse Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and staff. **REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- First level nurse registration or registered pharmacist (GPhC)
- Successful completion of a qualification to fulfil the role of supplementary/independent prescriber, holding appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register
- Completion of a postgraduate course/study programme relevant to substance misuse
- Current annual appraisal
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Demonstrable experience and successful track record of responsibility and development of others
- Experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non statutory agencies
- Experience of providing a supervisory role within a multidisciplinary team
- At least 5 years experience of working with substance misuse clients
- Experience of harm minimisation in drug treatment
- Experience and awareness of relationship between offending and substance misuse and need of special groups
- Demonstrable knowledge and understand of current health and social care issues
- Experience of facilitating clinical supervision in an individual and group setting
- Knowledge and understanding of Mental Health Act, Health & Safety and other legislative frameworks including legislation governing sharing of patient information
- Ability to assess high risk situations for clients
- Ability to manage violence and aggression in clinical service settings
- Ability to influence others
- Ability to develop practice through clinical audit
- Ability to work as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner
- Proven ability to use initiative, organise own workload and recognise own personal / professional limitations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- IT skills and awareness linked to the use of Windows driven software
- Ability to disseminate and analyse information
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team player whilst building relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders
- Able to meet We Are With You’s safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS/PVG certificate
- Ability to work flexible and unsocial hours as required
