**Production Planner**

Lallemand Animal Nutrition is a global leader in animal nutrition and forage inoculant technologies and is a division of Lallemand Inc operating in over 36 countries from 26 plants and with circa 2,600 employees. Growth at our Malvern facility has created the following career opportunity:
We are looking to employ a detail-oriented and experienced production planner to create and manage production schedules. The production planner’s responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. You should also be able to closely monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are processed correctly on the system and are completed on time and within budget.

To be successful as a production planner, you should be knowledgeable of material requirements planning and able to manage production deadlines. Ultimately, an exceptional production planner should demonstrate excellent time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.

This key appointment in the Lallemand Animal Nutrition UK business will involve:
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies**:

- Experience with planning and forecasting multiple products often with short lead times.
- Organised and attention to detail.
- People skills required. Must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures.
- Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal).
- Team player.
- Problem solving skills required with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Excel super user.
- Proactive.

**Job Spec**
- Work closely as an integral part of a small team of staff reporting into the Production and Planning Manager.
- Maintain and update master schedule and procurement plan based on history, seasonality, and sales opportunities while developing existing and future forecasts.
- Regularly review and understand data being produced.
- Improve and maximize production efficiencies to meet customer orders in a timely manner.
- Process production jobs and create labels while ensuring work in progress is consumed and rotated with keen accuracy.
- Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels with Purchasing, Manufacturing and Finance.
- Promote and develop positive communication with Production facility, Customer Service, Sales teams Finance and QA.
- Identify and implement system and process improvements within production planning and purchasing. Propose changes through discussion and buy in when needed.
- Key role with the MATICS (OEE) line packaging program to adjust baseline output data and reporting.
- Support new product development process through timely introduction and understanding of model introductions.
- Be a key person for the introduction a modern ERP system ( SAP) #wOther general administrative tasks including providing holiday cover.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
