Due to internal promotions, we are recruiting for two **Payroll Assistants** to join our Payroll and HR team.

As a Payroll Assistant you will take on the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of payroll, processing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.

**You will be accountable for**:

- Managing pay queries within designated depots/Hubs.
- Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters to line managers and employees.
- Able to manually calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax deductions, and deductions accurately.
- Preparing and issuing earnings statements/P45’s/P60’s and other payroll related documents securely.
- Issuing payslips and managing advance payments.
- Providing administrative assistance with reporting for Finance.
- Coordinating with HRSS to ensure correct employee data.
- Processing payroll accurately within Cascade.
- Ensuring HR Payroll Inbox is maintained, and queries answered within the SLA’s.

**To be successful in this role you will require the following**

To succeed as a Payroll Assistant, we require you to have strong numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively. Ultimately, an outstanding Payroll Assistant should be able to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.

**Knowledge & Experience**:

- Experience working in a payroll environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Cascade is ideal (payroll software).

**Technical & People Skills**:

- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and pension.
- Able to prioritise and multitask effectively.
