As a ward clerk, you will provide a comprehensive clerical and support service to the ward.
Ward Clerks are a key component to the wards, who excel in providing efficient support to each other, the staff on the ward and the service. Communication and sharing knowledge with each other helps to improve the team's efficiency and quality of work, together with the respect and support given to each other to achieve a common goal.
You will be able to work as part of a busy team, work independently and be able to work to conflicting and challenging deadlines.
Provide a proactive and professional welcome to the ward, acting as the public face for the Basildon University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Deliver an efficient administrative and clerical service to the Ward Team.
Maintain effective communication to both patients, relatives and staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the ward; enhancing patient care.
Ensure all information is secure, and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.
Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy.
Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times.
