Tye Green Indoor Bowls Club Ltd was established in 1972 and opened in 1976 as a six rink complex.

A few years later, as membership increased, the building was extended to it’s present size of nine rinks.

It is a private club, owned and administrated by it’s own members for the purpose of flat green bowling.

In addition to our bowling facilities, we have a bar and restaurant and a newly refurbished function room, which can be hired by both members and non members for a wide range of events.

Our support for local sporting teams has extended beyond bowls over the years and we currently host darts teams for their matches.

Members are encouraged to support the club by playing in Leagues, friendly matches with other clubs, club organised competitions and various Galas throughout the year. The club and individual members also participate in National and County Competitions.

At Tye Green, we pride ourselves on a warm and friendly atmosphere.

**Role Title: Bar and Snack Bar Person**

We are looking for a hardworking, multitasking, friendly, flexible and outgoing person who is a team player to come and join our fun and close knit team

**General Description**

To assist in the smooth running of Tye Green Indoor Bowls Club for the benefit of club members, by assisting the Bar Manager in ensuring the bar and snack bar area is fully stocked and available when required. To work on the bar and snack bar providing hot and cold drinks, snacks and light meals such as omelettes, burgers, sandwiches, rolls, paninis, All Day Breakfasts and chips.

**Specific Duties**

1. To support the club in our endeavors to provide a hospitable environment for members and visitors.

2. Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.

3. Interact with customers, take orders, serve snacks, light meals and hot and cold drinks.

4. Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.

5. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.

6. Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.

7. Restock and replenish bar and snack bar inventory and supplies.

8. Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.

9. Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

10. To liaise with the Committee when required or in the absence of the Bar Manager.

11. To provide cover behind the bar and snack bar when requested to cover matches, functions and social events.

12. To become fully conversant with the day to day running of the bar and snack bar, including the operation of the till.

13. To operate the snack bar as and when required (covering absences, sickness, holidays and extra busy times).

14. To adhere to all TGIBC policies and procedures.

15. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

16. Ability to keep the bar and snack bar organized, stocked and clean at all times.

**Other Duties**

1. To actively involve Club members in the day to day running of the Club, to ensure a succession of knowledgeable participants for the future.

2. To undertake other tasks as may be reasonably requested by the Management Committee, Bar Manager or Office Staff.

**Hours of Work**

Part time hours covering a 7 day rota.

This will include evenings and some weekends. Evenings will be from 6:00pm to 11:30pm with the possibility of overtime on Function nights.

You be required to work split shifts and will be expected to cover staff absence, sickness, holidays and extra busy times.

You must be flexible, adaptable and willing to work as a team to provide this cover to support the Bar Manager.

**Requirements**:
Experience preferred, but not essential as full training with be given.

A current, up to date Food Hygiene Certificate would be ideal (If selected, a copy of your certificate would need to be seen at the interview stage). However, this is not essential as a Food Hygiene course will be provided.

Rate of pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed at the interview stage.
