Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Your Teaching career starts here. The organisation is looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join their school in Leeds, West Yorkshire. As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will be working with an experienced team and in a culturewhere children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.
??As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA ?your day will be varied and interesting where you will be supporting their teachers by assisting in the classrooms or out in the community, whilst following a flexible structure and supporting their childrenand young people to unlock their passion for learning. You will be based in their Ofsted registered school but may also support their provision locally.
The organisation’s alternative education provision works with children and young people who struggle in their formal or specialised education settings. They offer education on an outreach basis or within one of their Ofsted registered schools.
As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will be working within a Trauma informed practice model where they can support and ?follow a therapeutic practice.

The school is a small, intimate, calm, and well-organised learning environment that creates a safe nurturing atmosphere in which pupils can learn, work and play. It is the education arm of a tripod integrated service provided by the organisation which includesresidential, clinical and education.
They are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and their children are aged between 8-17 with SEMH needs. Their school provides a broad-based curriculum that supports the growth and development of the whole child.

**HOURS**
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA your working hours will be:
- Term Time, this goes in line with the local authority
- Their full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30am -16:30pm
- The role is full time over 5 days per week

**Requirements ?**
As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Good written and IT skills
- Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers
- Able to actively listen to others
- NQTS or QTS registration
- Valid Driving Licence - this is essential for this role
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
