We are looking for a passionate and proactive Engagement Officer to join the new central engagement team to play a key part in delivering our engagement strategy and ensuring Digital Health and Care Wales operates as the trusted strategic partner.

Working in partnership with a range of stakeholders is essential to ensuring we understand, listen, and respond to needs. We work in collaboration with health boards and trusts, public bodies, Welsh Government, social care and community services, academia, industry, and the public, and you’ll play a key role in supporting DHCW effective engagement. As Engagement Officer, you’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining appropriate platforms, processes, and resources to share intelligence and learning across the organisation, increasing awareness, credibility, and influence with a range of stakeholders.

You will support DHCW to work with openness and transparency, enabling effective partnership working, and engagement in relevant networks and forums, ensuring NHS Wales national digital systems and services are coproduced to benefit users and patients. Working as part of the Engagement Team you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a strong portfolio of engagement services and activities in line with DHCW's engagement strategy and organisational aims and objectives.

As Engagement Officer, you’ll work as part of the new central Engagement Team to play a key role in delivering DHCW engagement activities, ensuring the successful co-production and adoption of the national digital systems and solutions for health and care for the people of Wales.

Working across DHCW, and with NHS Wales partners and other stakeholders, you’ll support colleagues to engage with relevant stakeholders, forums and networks to ensure DHCW is able to lead, educate and influence appropriately. With excellent organisational skills, you’ll plan and coordinate activities to support effective management of DHCW partnerships and engagement with key groups and forums.

Acting as point of contact for the Engagement Team for colleagues, you’ll help provide advice and support in stakeholder engagement to encourage and support DHCW staff to use appropriate tools and methodology to engage effectively.

We’re looking for a proactive and passionate individual, who is able to work autonomously and highly focused on achieving results. An excellent communicator you’ll be to develop strong and meaningful relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Support the delivery of the DHCW Engagement strategy and plan.

Co-ordinate the delivery of engagement activities and events.

Manage the action tracker from engagement meetings.

Planning and organising the delivery of DHCW Professional Network for Engagement and Communications.

Contribute to the development and on-going management of a stakeholder engagement platform.

Lead on ensuring stakeholder lists and intelligence are updated, relevant, and help inform the planning and delivery of engagement activities.

Manage the engagement SharePoint site.

Design and delivery of training and materials to DHCW staff around stakeholder engagement.

Manage and prioritise own workloads and use initiative to solve problems where appropriate.

Identify and engage in appropriate training and skills development for self and others around engagement and related areas, in line with best practice and professional standards.

Review and refine practices around the engagement activities to ensure continuous improvement.

Contribute to the budgetary reporting and management for engagement events and management of any equipment for those events.

Support delivery of regular reporting to DHCW board capturing engagement activity outputs and outcomes from across DHCW.
