**Country Store Sales Assistant - Part Time**

Ranging from 6.5 - 19 hours per week, depending on the rota cycle.

Hours Monday to Saturday 9am - 4:00pm, Sunday 10am - 4pm. Flexibility to close at 5pm when supporting Jimmy’s Farm events.

Clarkes of Walsham is looking for a Part Time Country Store Sales Assistant to look after our customers at our retail store at Jimmys Farm. As a sales assistant you’ll guide customers through the shopping process, from the initial greeting to the final purchase. By providing insight and support, you’ll help strengthen our current customer relationships and convert new visitors into repeat shoppers.

Our Jimmy’s Farm Store contains the very best of our Country Clothing and Footwear, Pet Accessories, Shooting Accessories, Shotgun Cartridges and Ammunition. Along with gifts and toys for our younger family members.

Based at our Jimmy’s Farm Country Store you will be required to work to a rota which covers a 2-week pattern, this will include weekends and bank holidays. Additional days will be required to cover holidays of other staff. Whilst some flexibility will be required for special events, the standard hours of work will be Monday - Saturday 9.30 - 4 and Sunday 10 - 4.

**Skills required.**
- Excellent proven customer service skills and knowledge of country life.
- Sales and marketing skills.
- The ability to use IT for day-to-day operations.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving stock items up to 20kg. Reasonable accommodations are available, though some lifting requirements cannot be entirely eliminated.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time. (reasonable accommodations can be provided).
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- An eye for detail.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Self-motivation to work alone, as well as a team, liaising with remote team members as required.
- Decision-making skills.

**Job responsibilities.**
- Welcoming customers and delivering exceptional service to our customers, resulting in repeat visits and long-term brand loyalty
- Treat customers with respect and courtesy
- Showing customers where to find items or directing them to alternatives or special promotions.
- Informing customers about features and benefits of the products and offer opinions and recommendations as appropriate.
- Maintain regulated products sales within the guidelines given by Firearms regulation. (Training will be given)
- Handling cash, using tills and Point of Sale equipment.
- Working towards sales targets as given by the store manager
- Maintaining merchandising stands and tidying item displays
- Maintain a tidy shopping environment by cleaning the store daily.
- Increasing sales and giving feedback to the team about new product opportunities
- Rotate and replenish stock on the shop floor.
- Deal with customers returning and refunding items.
- Represent our company with professionalism and enthusiasm.
