Occasional travel to South Wales HQ, Bridgend may be required and there is flexibility for the post holder to work occasionally in Bridgend. Other benefits available are Cycle to Work, Employee Discount Scheme, free use of onsite gym and free secure parking.
Primarily dealing with contracts relating to Victims and Custody Services, Professional/Corporate Services, Uniform, Joint Firearms Unit, Capital Projects and Police and Crime Commissioner Project, the post-holder will lead and deliver complex and strategic collaborative and local procurement projects for South Wales Police and Gwent Police, including high value tenders and frameworks.
You will work closely within a small team, having responsibility for your own procurement projects, guiding the client departments through the process from start to finish and also continue to contract manage those contracts following mobilisation.
This role is suitable for part time/job share workers.
