**Scale: NJC1-5**

**Hours: Evenings, as directed**

**Contract type: Casual**

**Reporting to: Site Manager**

**Main purpose**

**Duties and responsibilities**

To open & lock up the facility, as agreed.

To ensure that the AWP & Pavilion is well maintained at all times.

To ensure health and safety standards are maintained in line with the school policy and agreed Codes of Practice.

To ensure hard surfaces are cleaned and litter free and that bins are emptied.

To assist in arranging for the maintenance of furniture and fittings such as lights, to be carried out effectively and efficiently.

To monitor proper use of the facility and to ensure its deployment according to any pre-planned arrangements.

To deal with enquiries from members of the public & visitors in a professional manner.

To take reasonable action to ensure the proper use of car parking facilities so that vehicles do not cause obstructions and access remains available.

To carry out general cleaning, as required or requested by the Site Manager

The ability to work independently, to show initiative and to organise effectively

A flexible approach to work and good communication skills.

The ability to work alone on a regular basis and to ensure a safe and secure environment.

The ability to relate well to the public.

The ability to promote a positive ethos and to act as a positive role model.

The ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.

**Lettings**

To assist in preparation of the premises for after school activities and weekend use.

To assist in cover of lettings at the times required.

To monitor and organise acceptable use (eg use of appropriate footwear on AWP)

To ensure that all letting users are given an excellent service.

Lettings will include supervising the AWP during evenings and weekends when rostered.
