This post presents an exciting opportunity to work across two specialist services. The post holder will work 0.5wte ensuring the systematic provision of a high quality clinical psychology service within the National Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) Service and 0.3wte providing specialised clinical psychology service to people with Cystic Fibrosis who attend the West of Scotland Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service. Both these services are situation at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Both service deliver a mix of Inpatient and Outpatient psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues. The postholder will be required to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.

The postholder will also be required to:

- Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
- Provide clinical and professional supervision to trainees undertaking Doctoral training.
- Undertake service development which may have an impact beyond own area of practice.

You should demonstrate advanced theoretical and practical knowledge as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist which has been obtained through post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology as accredited by BPS or HCPC including specifically models of psychopathology and two or more distinct psychological therapies. In addition to this, you should be HCPC registered as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist. The hours for this post are worked between Monday and Friday, 9am-5pm.
