An opportunity has arisen within our enthusiastic and dedicated Rheumatology team for a Data Quality Officer.

To work as part of a clerical team to support a defined team of Clinicians, Clinic co-ordinators, Reception team. The Data Quality Officer is responsible for monitoring and promoting the collection and recording of high quality data to support NEIAA/BPT for early arthritis, NHS England Specialised Adult Rheumatology Service Dashboard, FLS-DB entries and working with DAWN to integrate data collection on one record.

Ensure national audit data have quality checks completed for data completeness and produce reports from this data as required. This support should normally be provided during the core hours of 8am and 6pm.

However, to ensure alignment with the Direct Clinical Care time of the Clinical Team for who they support, flexibility from core hours may be required and will be determined locally depending upon the needs of the service.

Support report findings and recommendations from data quality audits, liaising with appropriate stakeholders to ensure action is taken to resolve any problems identified

Produce data quality reports for colleagues, ensuring the accuracy of that data and monitoring any problem areas to escalate as necessary

Support with communication for all medical, professional and allied medical staff, both within this Trust and with external organisations, and patients, using judgment to facilitate a successful outcome of all enquiries

Contribute to the development of the Directorate, maintain close cooperation and liaison with team members and support the efficient functioning of the Trust as a whole, as required

To work primarily independently and on own initiative with mínimal supervision to carry out the duties of the post.

Responsible for liaising with colleagues, the Data Information Analyst, and the Audit and Validation Officer to aid the process of efficient data capture.

Communicate sometimes complex and sensitive information in data format to both internal and external contacts

**Enter data onto, but not limited to**: NEIAA/BPT for early arthritis, NHS England Specialised Adult Rheumatology Service Dashboard, FLS-DB and DAWN, assisting colleagues in ensuring that data is complete in accordance with local and national timescales.

Support report findings and recommendations from data quality audits, liaising with appropriate stakeholders to ensure action is taken to resolve any problems identified.

Produce data quality reports for colleagues, ensuring the accuracy of that data and monitoring any problem areas to escalate as necessary.

Be familiar with Rheumatology Services and standards, undertake training and e-learning as required.

Participate in clinical audit and research activity for local and national audits.

Any other duties commensurate with the grade and in line with the requirement of the post.

Ensure confidentiality is maintained in all communications and that documents and other sensitive information are secure at all times.

Support with communication for all medical, professional and allied medical staff, both within this Trust and with external organisations, and patients, using judgment to facilitate a successful outcome of all enquiries.

Contribute to the development of the Directorate, maintain close cooperation and liaison with team members and support the efficient functioning of the Trust as a whole, as required.

Liaise with other hospital departments, GPs and other health care agencies when required.

Assist and help colleagues when the need arises.

Demonstrate and supervise workplace activities to other members of the team as required maintaining a high standard of service to the Clinical Teams.
