Hereford Cathedral is looking to recruit enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our experienced Cathedral Café team. The applicants will be expected to be good communicators, self-motivated and able to demonstrate a high standard of customer service when serving in our Café and catering operations.

The role is as a casual worker with hours to be worked flexibly between 8.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Saturday, and may include occasional out of hours work. Remuneration will be National Minimum and Living Wage rates.

The work involves taking food and beverage orders from customers and preparing them promptly, taking payment, preparing and restocking food in the café or its kitchen, cleaning and setting up dining areas, operating dishwashers, and delivering food and drinks to other venues within the Cathedral as required.

A minimum of one years’ experience in hospitality and a basic food hygiene qualification is desirable, otherwise full training will be provided.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

Pay: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
