**JOB TITLE**: Legal Assistant (Private Client)
**LOCATION**: Totnes
**HOURS**: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)
**SALARY**: Dependent on experience

**THE ROLE**: You will provide secretarial support to the fee earner and will be on hand to assist with a wide variety of tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department. Responsibilities might include:
- Providing admin support to the partner and team
- Ensuring client records and files are up to date
- Faxing, photocopying and scanning
- Filing and archiving
- Typing and audiotyping of fee earner notes, records and correspondence
- Gathering data for files, opening and closing files
- Preparing and producing documents
- Liaising with clients and dealing with client enquiries
- Booking client appointments and arranging meetings
- Management of team diary and appointments
- Answering the phones
- General ad hoc admin tasks
**THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE**:
- Strong computer and typing skills
- Someone who is confident at managing multiple tasks at one time
- Someone who can demonstrate a flexible and can do approach to work
- A professional and polite telephone manner
- Experience in providing excellent client or customer service
- A team player
