Are you a HSEQ Officer looking for a new opportunity with a local company who are now part of a larger group operating within the UK and supplying product worldwide?

As the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Officer will be responsible for sites in Rochdale and Newport Pagnell, a driving licence is essential.

Reporting to the MD, the Health & Safety Officer will assume overall responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment for the site, ensuring that the Company Health & Safety Policy is adhered to at all times. The HSEQ Officer will also ensure that the quality of products manufactured by the company meet and exceed customer’s specifications, working to ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities - Health & Safety Officer**:

- To drive and oversee arrangements for health, safety and environmental issues in the workplace.
- Monitor and report on site safety performance.
- Maintain the HSEQ management systems.
- Manage and monitor SISIRI, site safety audits, product quality audits and quality programmes.
- Manage H&S risk assessments, SSOW, SOP’s and safety inspections.
- Manage incident investigation process (accidents/near miss) both internally and externally.
- Ensure contractors operate on site within the company’s safety rules.
- Identify, develop and deliver HSEQ training.
- Maintain, administer and manage internal/external audits of the HSEQ Management Systems.
- Monitor Waste and Recycling usage.
- Monitor customer complaints, employee feedback and ensure efficient timely handling of feedback by management.
- Manage non-conformance and corrective and preventative actions.
- To be available for work at other company sites (e.g. audits) as and when required.
- Any other duties and reasonably expected by management.

**Person Specification - HSEQ Officer**:

- IOSH / NEBOSH qualification is essential or proof of evidence of gaining these qualifications is in the final stages.
- Previous experience of working within a production environment, ideally polymer but not essential.
- Ability to lead, influence and implement on any Quality, Health and Safety and environmental matters.
- Experience of ISO standards 9001, 14001 & 45001.
- Confidence of using IT, with a good level of literacy and numeracy.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Team player & excellent communicator.
- Driving licence essential.
