Formagrind Ltd manufactures high precision mechanical components and assemblies for customers across industry sectors such as scientific instrumentation, aerospace & avionics, defence, semiconductor, automotive/F1, and much more. We operate state of the art CNC machinery, and produce very intricate, high-precision components.

We are looking for a **Quality Inspector** with a positive, proactive approach who can work to rapidly changing requirements under extremely tight timescales.
- Ideally have completed a relevant qualification in Engineering.
- Is familiar with all geometric tolerancing, and adept at reading and understanding technical engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Methodical approach to problem solving, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills, excellent punctuality, and timekeeping.

**Key responsibilities**

Reporting to the Quality Manager
- Inspection of all products, ensuring that all fully conform, are fit for purpose, and meet the required quality standards defined.
- Operate all equipment and tools associated with the role, including:
Ø CMM (coordinate measuring machine)

Ø Vision systems

Ø Conventional measuring equipment
- Produce inspection reports.
- Ensure smooth and effective flow of work through the inspection department.
- Support production with components requiring FAI and in-process inspection.
- Maintaining company documentation/systems in line with ISO9001:2015.
- Assist with both internal and external audits.
- Support continuous improvement across the business.

**Salary**: Up to £16.54 per hour
