Established in 1989, City Insurance Group is a leading Insurance Broker offering exceptionally high standards of client care to thousands of clients across the UK.

You will join a busy team mainly on the telephone, dealing with volume sales of Car and Van insurance but other products too including Home and Travel insurance. You will deal with enquiries and generally provide a “can do” attitude; aiming to impress and please our clients.

You will work in a busy environment arranging and renewing policies and you will need to be used to working in a busy environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 08.45 to 17.00 and Saturday from 09.00 to Noon. (Saturdays Rota, 1 in 2).

**Are you the right person for us?**
- Previous experience in the Car Insurance sector is preferable, however, training will be given
- Previous experience in banking and or retail, hospitality
- An understanding of cars would be useful
- Previous Call centre experience would be useful
- Ability to problem solve
- Good understanding of Maths and percentages
- Good proven sales skills
- Have patience, and politeness and maintain professional working standards in a busy environment
- Liaise effectively with other internal departments and external insurers
- Confidence to deal with difficult situations and to know when appropriate, seek guidance from managers
- Good team working skills and ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Desire to gain a full understanding of products and processes and complete CPD (continuous professional Development)
- Computers skills - Word Excel

**What will your role look like?**
- Selling, advising and arranging personal lines insurance
- Demonstrating a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards clients and recognising the importance of being a team player
- Understanding clients’ needs and requirements and working to impress them with knowledge and a helpful attitude
- Providing client service in line with company policies and internal compliance
- Understanding the scope of products we deal with representing over 30 different Insurers
- Being a point of contact for clients’ needs and dealing with these requirements to successful outcomes
- To maintain a good level of personal smartness and presentation
- To actively follow company policies & comply with Data protection
- Contacting clients for required information, payment and supporting documents to fulfil validation requirements
- Completing accurate records and computer files, diaries, journals and to the extent others can follow notes and history
- To attend staff meetings and training as required
- Following instructions from managers and attending to jobs required
