**AGA Recruitment are currently looking for Senior Cooks in Wareham, Dorset**

Wareham which is set amongst private woodlands overlooking the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. They make the most of the beautiful surroundings by delivering our activities on and off-site. They cater for schools, educational groups, professional organisations, and the general public. As Senior Cook, reporting to the Senior Administrator/ Senior Tutor; you will be overseeing all kitchen operations as well as managing a team of kitchen staff. Your day will consist of a variety of duties whilst helping us to support the development of our guests. (13.69 per hour + holiday pay pro rated)

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- A valid DBS (can help in applying)
- Prepared to work towards Foundation Certificate in food hygiene
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Catering
- First Aid Certificate (can help in applying).

Previous experience within preparation or catering or kitchen management.

The day-to-day of the role: - Planning menus, working with the budgets provided, and ordering supplies. Maintaining the stock control. - Preparation of the home cooked meals, baking of cakes and desserts and prepare packed lunches. - Supervise a small team Kitchen Assistants. - Supporting the team to deliver excellent customer service to our visiting groups, face to face serving of meals. - Assist with large scale events. - Clean kitchen areas and equipment to the required standards. - Ensure the observance of Health and Safety requirements..

Pay: £11.44-£13.69 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
