Schools Engagement Lead

**The role has 3 main priorities**:
1. Explore opportunities to developing a BHT Schools Engagement strategy, including delivery and assurance processes
2. Make BHT as an ‘Employer or Workplace of Choice’ by local and ICS community young population through provision and widening of innovative schools / colleges, local authorities and Trust participation initiatives i.e. outreach, career fairs, work experience
3. Establish a pool of BHT ‘career champions’ to provide placements and support front in-reach/ outreach events
- Lead on implementing the BFaB programme, aligning to the widening participation, future workforce activity and stakeholder requirements, contributing to, and supporting, the existing and future development of priorities for BHT and the Bucks Health and Care Academy
- Establish, develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with key widening participation partners - e.g. schools/ colleges/ local authorities engagement Leads, Bucks Health and Social Care Academy
- Widen network and partnerships to increase opportunities that are currently available to younger student/ learner population who are looking for and to work at BHT
- Advise senior leadership on schools engagement activities that will best effectively meet BHT’s needs.
- Lead, supervise, and support members of the team e.g. Schools Engagement Manager in their day-to-day work and professional development, promoting the concept of interdisciplinary team working and person-centred care
- Lead on the development of ‘School Engagement Profiles’
- Assure the accuracy and currency of the Trust central register of ‘Careers Champions’
- Ensure that the organisation works to safeguard the welfare of the learner and fosters an inclusive approach to engagement, supervision, assessment, placement, careers development and support
