**Overview**

My client, an a globally known logistics business based in Northampton currently have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working in a fast-paced, exciting, sometimes pressured finance team you will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for communicating with internal stakeholders on a daily basis, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring all tasks are completed within tight deadlines. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a business where you can gain exposure with senior responsibilities specially at month end.

**Skills required**:

- Be AAT qualified and actively working your way through your ACCA/CIMA examinations as the business encourages the progression of its employees and wants them to be driven
- To have been exposed to month end duties and aspects of accruals and prepayments; you do not need to have covered it all, but a bit of experience under your belt is required for this Assistant Accountant role
- To be a strong communicator as you will be speaking with a range of different stakeholders, both financial and non-financial
- Possess thinking capability, be proactive and have the ability to produce accurate work whilst working to tight deadlines
