Yolk Recruitment is pleased to be working with a leading food manufacturer who, due to growth, are looking for a Health and Safety officer to join the business.

With approximately 160 on site this is an incredibly exciting time to join the business. Offering support with you securing your NEBOSH or IOSH, this is a company who truly thinks about their staff's professional development.

You'll have a strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, and experience in risk assessment, audits, and corrective action.

**This is what you'll be doing as Health and Safety Officer**:

- Lead risk assessment teams, ensure actions are carried out, and conduct audits
- Maintain a database of Health & Safety Key Performance Indicators and emergency coverage across all shifts
- Record and communicate any incidents or near misses, oversee corrective actions, and assess potential new recruits for suitability
- Maintain training database and deliver Health & Safety induction to new employees
- Keep up-to-date with new legislation and liaise with third parties and customers as needed
- Support all aspects of the business with competent guidance and information

**The experience you'll bring to the team**:

- Excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards for food production
- A minimum level 3 recognised academic or vocational qualification in a Health & Safety discipline
- Experience within an FMCG operation
- Experience of carrying out risk assessments and audits and participating in the rollout of corrective actions
