- Cove Care are looking for experienced_ _Residential Team Leaders in the Wolverhampton area, who have a caring nature and a genuine motivation to work alongside Young People with mental health, emotional & complex care needs from 10-18 yrs old in our Residential Care setting._
- We offer 24/7 care to Young People therefore the role will involve working a minimum of 8 hours per shift._

- Being responsible for anticipating our Young People's needs and communicating these needs to other staff and professionals involved.
- Writing review reports and other reports as necessary.
- Being involved in review meetings concerning our Young People
- Being involved in setting up and implementing personal care plans for our Young People.
- To help new Young People settle into the home.
- To engage as a named support worker for one or more young person, assisting trained staff in providing care.
- Deliver identified training to junior staff under support and supervision.
- Support young people who need assistance with independent living skills and encouraging independence.
- Update self with all priority need care plans of young people and complete written daily records as instructed by senior staff.
- Participate in the framework of social activities within the Home by interacting with young people and helping them with meaningful activities and interests.
- Carry out regular checks on young people at intervals determined by the individual care plan.
- Closely monitor young people who may be distressed and/or present with challenging behaviour due to emotional, intellectual or mental health needs, reporting any changes to the Deputy or Registered Manager.
- Escort young people during planned trips and leave from the Home as well as on social outings.
- Assist in the serving of meals and drinks as requested/required.
- Participate in staff and young people meetings.
- Attend mandatory training sessions.
- Understand and ensure the implementation of the Home’s health and safety policy, emergency and fire procedures.
