Quality Inspector (CMM)

As the Quality Inspector, you will be running and programming the CMM using PC-DMIS to inspect both internal and external sourced parts and assemblies against design specifications and technical drawings. Thus, you will need to have a technical background (HNC in Mechanical Engineering) as well as experience utilising a CMM, not to mention the understanding of tolerances including GD&T.

Quality Inspector responsibilities:

- Follow the companies ISO9001 accredited quality management system in their day-to-day activities.
- Inspect externally sourced parts and assemblies against design specifications, technical drawings and complete all relevant documentation.
- Carry out first off inspections.
- Carry out in-process inspections.
- Ensure all non-conforming items are segregated from good product.
- Create non-conformance reports and scrap notifications.

Quality Inspector requirements:

- HNC level education within Mechanical/Motorsport/Aerospace engineering
- A proven track record working in a Quality Inspection role utilising CMMs.
- Sound knowledge of Inspection methodology.
- Competent in running and programming CMM using PC-DMIS.
- Competent in using a range of handheld inspection instruments
- Level 1 PC-DMIS certification or equivalent.
- Have experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Have experience with castings, machined and painted parts.
- Competent in reading technical drawings and understanding of GD&T
