**Main responsibilities**:

- Act as the strategic lead in customer account management, adopting a critical role in building relationships with clients, and drive revenue growth with a defined group of clients.
- Act as the senior point of contact for industry expertise.
- Ensure client satisfaction and identify any new opportunities to increase sales for company products.
- Effectively achieve sales quota and activity targets set.
- Oversee a book of customers, develop new business from any existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.
- Establish strong, long-lasting client relationships with every assigned customer and develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts.
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by strategically proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Assist with any challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Effectively achieve assigned strategic account objectives and monitor sales performance metrics.
- Assisting in the training and development of other employees within the business.
- Employ recognised sales practices to maximise sales opportunities.
- Actively participate/collaborate in any team meetings and provide feedback and information on market trends.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to protection for clients.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.

**Key Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience within a similar role is essential (e.g Account Executive).
- A broad understanding of the insurance market/industry is essential.
- Previous experience with client-facing environments and the ability to build long-lasting client/stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent business acumen.
- Excellent attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in effective training and development of staff members within a business.
