**Job description**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Officer to join a growing Procurement Team. Within this role you will lead on the full commercial lifecycle including negotiation, monitoring and management of contracts to colleagues across PHSO as well as support and manage the Procurement Officer in the delivery of procurement activities.

The Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for:

- providing specialist advice and guidance on all aspects of procurement within PHSO and help ensure that all procurement activity conforms to PHSO’s Procurement Code.
- providing procurement input to high-value, high-profile requirements, including the drafting of Find a Tender Service (FTS) required documentation.
- utilising a range of tools to manage procurement opportunities through the commercial lifecycle, offering innovate solutions that will reduce cost, drive efficiencies and produce best value for PHSO.
- providing specialist strategic procurement advice to stakeholders in the development of effective specifications ensuring appropriate KPIs are included.
- acting as an advisor and offer leadership and advice to project teams to ensure that sound procurement principles are being applied.

**Person specification**:

- Strong procurement exposure and experience in procurement processes, strategies, tools and techniques
- Proven influencing skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work on own initiatives
- Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects within agreed timeframes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of stakeholder and supplier management
