You will have a high level of specialist knowledge ofArtsTherapyacquired through a combination in-depth experience and amastersdegree or equivalent inArtsTherapy. You will hold and ensure to maintain state registration as anArtsTherapistthrough the Health and Care Professions Council. You will comply with the ethics and professional conduct code of the British Association of Art Therapists / British Association ofDramatherapists/ British Association for Music Therapyand Health Professions Council as well as national and local policies and procedures. You will have great interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to establish a professional working relationship with the MDT and clinical support teams, and to build and maintain close links with other key services and agencies.
You will be calm and confident around people in distress, and have a reflective and considered approach to problem solving. Your values are essential to this role; we are looking for someone who genuinely wants to make a lasting impact on young people, who insists on doing things with care and diligence and is able to think on their feet. The CYPMHS inpatient unit structure has been newly designed, specifically to enable and encourage progression; your development is vital to the service.
