8:00am - 4:00pm

Due to the peaks and troughs that exam periods entail, the working days for this role operate on a variable basis - generally 3 days per week during the Autumn term and second half of the Spring term, and 5 days per week during the first half of the Spring term and the whole of the summer term, as well as some days in the holidays, including the last 3 weeks of August each year.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hard-working and well-organised administrator to support the smooth running of all the public and internal exams at Surbiton High School. The successful applicant must be able to work well under pressure in a very busy environment. You will need to be reliable, self-motivated and flexible with your working hours in order to accommodate some early starts and late finishes during the exams sessions. At times the position is quite physically demanding, involving handling heavy boxes, unpacking packets of scripts, moving desks around and making up exam bags.

The successful applicant will also be expected to work on the Entrance Exams day (Saturday in November), some days in the school holidays and for GCSE and A level results which is non-negotiable.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To provide administrative support to the Head of Exams with all external and internal examinations
- To support the Exams Department in ensuring that the School is compliant with the JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements in order to ensure the security and integrity of the examinations and assessments at all times
- To liaise with invigilators regarding availability and Sling scheduling
- To undertake data inputting, including preparing registers for school exams, booking rooms and study areas as required
- To assist the Head of Exams with timetabling mocks and internal school exams
- To set up exams rooms and ensure they are equipped with stationery boxes
- To unpack and log scripts as required
- To collate certificates
- To assist with Sixth Form Scholarship and Year 7 Entrance exams
- To invigilate internal and public exams
- To network with other Schools and attend online and off-site training as required
- To help facilitate with the Oxbridge assessments
- To assist with invigilator training
- To help with the review of marking post results
- To support the team with MFL orals
- To help co-ordinate student’s access arrangements and learning needs through liaising with the Learning Support Department
- To carry out any such duties as may be reasonably requested by the Head of Exams

- Exam/Invigilation experience

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel & databases
