2.1 Main Tasks Processing invoices, in accordance with departmental procedures. Helping to ensure that these are kept up-to-date. Participate in the system for resolving queries/discrepancies and the reporting of these to the Procurement Officer, and appropriate pharmacy sections Participate in resolving supplier payment queries, including communicating with appropriate payment staff, and pharmaceutical suppliers. Liaise with the Stores Team to resolve issues associated with the logging of goods.

Carry out daily ordering of pharmaceuticals on a rota basis, ensuring sufficient stock to meet patient needs. Liaise with department staff to ensure cost effective purchasing. Participate in the process for managing to-follows and obtaining alternative supplies where available, and referring to Procurement Manager/Procurement Officer when unable to obtain. Be involved in updating and amending EDI ordering system.

Participate in the Stores rota, with involvement in duties related to the unpacking, checking receipt of goods and dealing with customers. Participate in the system for managing Homecare supplies to patient. Liaising with pharmacists and prescribers and homecare providers to resolve queries. Updating the homecare database.

Be involved in the processing of monthly invoice for provision of Pharmaceuticals to the Hospice. Assist in resolution of telephone queries. Be involved in covering the duties of other procurement staff during periods of annual leave and sickness. Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with other members of the team.
