Manchester, United Kingdom The Christie NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Each year the Workforce Development Team complete the annual Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) process, gathering information from all areas of the Trust to establish the learning needs of our staff. This data translates in to our annual LNA plan, and provides a robust evidence base to allocate funding to respond to the requests on a priority basis. There are several funding options to meet these demands, including external and internal budgets, the Apprenticeship Levy and other bids/opportunities. This role will support the Workforce Development Manager and the entire team to maximise the available monies, and enable services and staff to fully utilise all available resources to deliver on the LNA plan.

This is a really collaborative role, liaising with a wide range of stake holders, including for example:

- Communicating directly with staff
- Liaison with Line Manager/Service Leads
- Working with training providers
- Linking with Universities and HEI’s
- Arranging venues, both internally and externally
- Joint working with our Events and Comms Teams, creating PR information, Social Media content, and updates for HIVE, Christie Learning Zone (CLZ) etc
- Regular meetings with finance colleagues and external finance contacts, including scoping quotes for services in line with Standard Financial Instructions (SFI’s)

The post holder will contribute to and gather, analyse and present data and will contribute the weekly Study Funding review meetings, and work closely with the Senior Education Administrator to support the financial administration that supports the spend within the department.

The role will compliment other peers within the team, the Apprenticeship Coordinator, and Career Development Practitioner - and should work as part of a cyclical process where career advice is given, and signposting to the various options available is identified and facilitated. As a team player, there may be opportunities to participate in a variety of Career Events and Fairs, promoting the Trust and supporting Widening Participation agenda, and our Education offers - as well as support Trust wide initiatives such as Corporate Induction and Resourcing initiatives.
