Cambridge, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

**About Us**:
The Centre for Climate Repair (CCR), based in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP), is a multi-disciplinary hub that brings together various departments with the goal to repair the climate through the 3Rs - Reduction of carbon emissions, Removal of greenhouse gases and Refreezing the Arctic. We support PhD studentships and internships in several University departments and are overseen by a University Board as well as an External Research Advisory Board in respect to our research and field trials. Although the Centre is based in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, the Centre for Climate Repair also has strong ties with the Department of Engineering, based in Trumpington Street, therefore some travel to this site will be required.

**The Role**:
Our team is growing rapidly and we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Communications Assistant to help promote the activities and events of the Centre while supporting the Programme Coordinator in the strategic direction of its communications. The post is an interesting and varied job providing events and communications assistance for the Centre and our high-profile activities. Where we host events/activities and/or our presence at external events is required, we may ask the Communications Assistant to accompany the Director and/or Deputy Director so as to document and promote our presence on social media.

**About you**:
The successful applicant will have excellent organisational and communication skills and initiative to support the Centre's communications for our busy and diverse events and activities. They will be flexible and adaptable and able to work effectively with other members of the team. Previous experience in communications or a similar role is essential. Excellent and accurate written English, the ability to prioritise workload across multiple tasks and to meet deadlines together with a high level of attention to detail, are also essential. The post holder will have considerable scope to develop many areas of their work and should enjoy the opportunity to work on their own initiative.

**How to Apply**:
Interviews will take place as soon as possible following the closing date.

The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
