Overall Purpose of the role

To maximise all opportunities to create a profitable cinema and becoming the customer's first choice for cinema entertainment within the local market by delivering an unrivalled cinema experience provided by friendly and helpful people. To manage a highperforming and fully engaged cinema team that delivers the cinema's business plan within the required timelines.
- Manage recruitment admin so that job offers and contracts can be sent out by HR correctly
- Manage and coach the cinema team giving them regular feedback on their performance in order to deliver individual objectives set in Performance Agreements by the General Manager. The aim being to achieve the business plan and deliver results
- Communicate incentive plans to all the cinema team, carrying out regular progress updates with the management team to engage them with delivering the required business goals
- Recognise high performers and proactively support them with career development and progression so that an active succession plan is in place
- Manage underperformance and ensure all issues are clearly addressed
- Conduct regular performance reviews with the management team focusing on the delivery of objectives and development plans for areas requiring improvement. Ensure the General Manager is fully updated on team performance and jointly conduct the Annual PerformanceReview
- Ensure reviews are conducted for the cinema team members and Team Leaders by Managers.
- Ensure that the cinema team are fully trained in all areas outlined in the Team Training Plan and succession planning is enabled.
- Build effective working relationships in order to facilitate handovers, share best practice, work together on shared projects and provide support for each other. This also applies to working with other General Manager within the business
- Cascade information and knowledge to the full team to ensure engagement and implementation of business initiatives and decisions
- Review cinema profitability constantly ; (in conjunction with the General Manager) identifyingbusiness opportunities that improve performance and address issues
- Take responsibility for implementing appropriate actions to maximise operating profit
- Ensure film schedules fully exploited ( in conjunction with the General Manager), to create profit generating opportunities and implement guidelines ensuring they are followed
- Keep up to date with initiatives that have improved cinema profitability, working practices or operating standards
- Implement any business activity that requires a return on investment and ensure payback is delivered ahead of or within agreed timelines
- Take responsibility for staff rotas and hours ensuring these are flexed and managed as required
- Take responsibility for the efficient use of all cinema resources through effective planning and management to deliver budgeted cinema performance
- Take remedial action ensuring all building, asset repairs and maintenance issues are dealt with
- Report all IT issues appropriately; monitoring all progress ,resolving issues promptly, and ensuring all audits are completed
- Maintain IT hardware and systems to the standards required
- Ensure management of the maintenance programme for all Digital equipment (including sound and light levels), and that issues are appropriately escalated and resolved
- Ensure all tasks are carried out and issues are appropriately recorded by the management team in order to ensure standards and equipment are operating at expected levels
- Ensure management of faults relating to digital equipment and the TMS
- Ensure Xenon lamp life and hours are optimised, monitored and replenishment managed
- Develop a customer focussed culture where the cinema team are friendly, engaging, helpful and well presented to provide a high standard of service
- Monitor and evaluate customer service related KPI’s regularly so that key trends are identified and action plans are implemented to address issues and make the required improvements
- Take responsibility for ensuring customer complaints are dealt with professionally, promptly and resolved
- Take responsibility for training and managing the performance of the cinema team to deliver the required standards for an excellent customer experience in the auditorium

Promote an environment that values diversity and inclusion, taking steps to deal appropriately with issues of harassment and bullying of any sort. Escalate to the GM where appropriate.
- Take responsibility for ensuring actions and duties are delivered by the Management Team when running duty shifts, that the cinema team are fully briefed and the cinema operates to the required company standards
- Implement centrally driven initiatives, incentives and Vue branded products to the required standards
- Carry out Film piracy preventative measures (e.g. regular screen checks) and deal with all instances in line with company and FACT procedures
- Manage and complete administration in a timely manner and ensure compliance with legislation, company processes and procedures
- Run shifts and attend cinema outside of trading hours when required to do so
- Check the accuracy of the payroll (in the absence of the General Manager) ensuring manual adjustments reflect actual hours worked,
- Sign off all data input and adjustments made by Managers (in the absence of the General Manager)so that teams are paid accurately and on time
