We are currently looking for a methodical Test Analyst to join our growing and forward-thinking IT department. This is an excellent opportunity for a Test Analyst to move into a well-established team, both taking ownership and working collectively to ensureall testing within our industry leading business is conducted to the highest of standards. This role will form part of the QA Team and report directly to the Head of IT Development.

The Test Analyst is an integral part of the Development Team and is responsible for undertaking testing across the entire product portfolio. This is a pivotal role within the department and across the extended business. You will be a strong team player withan aptitude for finding issues and addressing problems where others would not think to look.

The role will form part of the existing Development Testing Team and you will interact with fellow peers to co-ordinate the development test cycles, running diagnostic system testing and communicating those findings effectively to the relevant stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working as part of the development team to ensure quality of existing and new systems and helping to resolve issues quickly.
- Determining test requirements (coverage, environments, components), creating test plans, drafting test scripts, to provide the right coverage and detail to meet the test objectives.
- Creating regression tests and identifying test automation opportunities where the business value is evident.
- Engaging business representatives in all stages of the testing process, providing feedback to all team members as required.
- Writing, reviewing, and updating product test plans/scripts, test cases, model-based tests, and scenarios
- Contribute to the process and practices that ensure good quality software.
- Execution of test plans and test cases to ensure that software meets specified standards, development specifications, and business requirements.
- Effective defect logging and tracking status through a resolution system.

**Skills and Requirements**:

- The ability to interpret user stories effectively.
- Knowledge of test design, test execution and defect report creation.
- Experience scoping, planning and implementing manual test plans.
- Experience with automation testing.
- Strong test industry knowledge of standards and methodologies.
- Experience of working within a development team and wider business.
- Excellent personal organisational skills.
- Self-starter who is can take the ownership of testing decisions and strategies.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A methodical and analytical thinker.
