Test Analyst/Coordinator

Location: Hybrid

Package: Negotiable + Benefits

The Test Analyst at Brown & Brown Europe plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications and systems. You will work closely with the development team to help design and create test case scenarios, but more directly with various areas of the business to create specific test scenarios to cover their areas of functionality. You will help support UAT during execution and help to triage and identify and reported defects, and support the Portfolio Test Manager.

The day to day:

  • Aligned with the Business Analysis on requirements
  • To support / review and write test scenarios / scripts for UAT
  • Help to co-ordinate the UAT testing with the business entities
  • Ensuring the testing activities are addressed and actioned
  • Defect management and triage with internal / external parties
  • Run workshops / meetings with internal external stakeholders
  • Schedule and prioritise work and activities within the project timelines
  • Support and contribute to the testing phases as and when required
  • Execute tests as and when required
  • Responsible with collating progress updates from the business entities and sharing updates with the Portfolio Test Manager
  • Reporting progress and testing metrics where necessary
  • Escalating blockers and issues to the Portfolio Test Manager
  • Write short daily updates to the Portfolio Test Manager

About you:

  • Insurance Experience
  • Ideally 5yrs plus testing experience
  • Experience with working on migration and infrastructure programmes with line of business applications
  • Knowledge of London market
  • Knowledge of testing tools and processes
  • Experience on working on high profile projects
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Hands on testing experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of business analysis methodologies and test metrics reporting
  • Understanding and knowledge of testing principles
  • Experience of supporting UAT phases for both readiness and execution activities
