Calling all Psychology Graduates - Classroom Assistant - £10.77 per hour - Cardiff

The role:
The job role would involve working as a Classroom Assistant supporting pupils with learning and behavioural difficulties on both a 1:1 and small group basis. A knowledge and understanding of Child Psychology and Applied Behavioural Analysis is desired asit will be very much applicable in this role.

You will be responsible for making sure the children are engaged and completing tasks to meet their daily learning objectives. Keeping a routine and ensuring there is great classroom management as well as engaging and encouraging positive achievements iskey to excelling in this role.

Pay rates will start at £10.77 ph and can increase to £13 ph based on experience and performance. You would be expected to work between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm.

The Students:The Students that attend the school will be diagnosed with Autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, downs-syndrome, epilepsy and/or Mental Health Difficulties.
- Have a Psychology or Criminology degree qualified/pending or equivalent.
- Knowledge in ABA (Applied behavioural analysis)
- Have strong behaviour management skills.
- Have experience in SEN (personal or professional)
- Be open to training (Team Teach) (Manual Handling)
- Have strong communication skills
- Have a passion for helping others

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
