Our client is a global manufacturing company, specialising in providing engineering solutions to an extensive list of high-profile automotive companies. This **Assembly Operative **role will be responsible for assembly of valves for the automotive industry.

The successful**Assembly Operative** will be responsible for:

- Producing automotive components using hand tools and machinery,
- This role will require dexterity to assembly small automotive valve components,
- Following standard operating procedures in order to assemble components in a timely manner, accurately and to the quality expected,
- Operate and monitor assembly line machines,
- Escalate line problems to supervisors,
- Performs minor assembly line set up duties in preparation of assembly operations,
- Meeting established unit production targets,
- Inspection of all work, ensuring that any defects are identified,
- Complete paperwork as required,
- Keeps work area clean and tidy,
- Observing safety rules at all times,

**The ideal Assembly Operative**:

- Previous experience as an assembler in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Technical knowledge and ability to read SOPs, blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability to use hand tools,
- Good understanding of quality control principles,
- Good communication skills (verbal and written),
- Computer literate.

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
