The team requires a Business Support Officer - Administrator for approximately 15-months.

The role will be based in the Democratic and Member Business Support team, carrying out administrative duties supporting the elected members in their role as a Councillor.

You will also be required to provide support to the Legal department as resilience for a Legal Support Officer role.

This role is office-based, and will be primarily based at the Council House, though you will need to work from Ballard House on occasion, to support the Legal Department.

Hybrid/remote working is NOT available due to the need to provide in-person support to Councillors and customers, including supporting on a reception desk for the building.

**Qualifications**:

- GCSE’s A*- C (9-4) or equivalent in English and Maths - essential

**Skills & experience**
- Basic knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures - desirable
- Previous experience working as a Legal officer/Administrator - desirable
- Previous reception desk experience - desirable
- Experience of using Microsoft Software Packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience of providing an effective and efficient business support service to customers.
- Previous administrative experience with an understanding of office procedures.
- Experience of prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Experience of maintaining documents, records and data e.g. financial records, customer records or accounts
