Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to understand the scope of work and project objectives.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project conditions, materials, and labor requirements.
- Analyse project drawings and other documentation to identify project components and determine quantities of materials needed.
- Obtain and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to accurately estimate project costs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses, using estimating software or spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to solicit tenders and gather relevant information for project estimates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials and services.
- Present cost estimates and proposals to clients and participate in bid meetings to address questions and negotiate terms.
- Track and update project costs throughout the bidding process and provide support to project managers during project execution.
- Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a construction estimator, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of legal and contractual requirements related to construction tender process and contracts.
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) is a plus.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

- Estimating: 3 years (preferred)
