Cost Estimator - Defence - SC cleared

The location of the role is Bristol (hybrid working).
The duration of the contract is 8 weeks.
The individual in this role will be required to support the Authority Cost Modelling Lead (within the TacSys Finance Function) in a variety of cost analysis and cost modelling activities. Working with TacSys Project Managers and Finance staff to develop robust cost forecasts for their projects,
Assist TacSys commercial with Allowable Cost Reviews (when CAAS cannot support) of single-source bids from industry
Assisting the Crown Servants in TacSys Cost Modelling, Finance and wider TacSys on cost modelling aspectsKey skills and experience

Cost model development skills (in Excel) - ability to generate (and analyse others') cost models in accordance with Best Practice
Critical analysis of costs being used by Project Managers in their estimates (and to assist with improving estimate robustness)
Understanding Monte-Carlo simulation techniques and application of appropriate software tools (TacSys use Vose ModelRiskTM)
Correct handling and reporting of Risks in modelling,
Understanding of implications (and application) of MOD instructions such as JSP 507, JSP 655
