**What you’ll be doing**:

- Working within a matrix programme organisation, reporting into the Programme Director, you will be responsible and accountable for ensuring contractual delivery of equipment, services and materials for all Procurement categories.
- You will have overall responsibility for driving performance of both contracts and suppliers to deliver contracts to quality, cost and time requirements through effective leadership and management of people within your Procurement teams.
- Delivering Programme/business objectives through the development and deployment of Procurement strategies & plans.
- Ensuring there is a robust supplier performance management process in place, and lead Procurement teams to own, manage, mitigate and retire risks.
- Acting as the final escalation point to conclude dispute resolution.
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement within the Procurement team, through LfE, market & performance intelligence.
- Ensuring full delivery and reconciliation of contractual closure requirements.
- Manage and develop team/s to ensure procurement resources are deployed to best effective and that talent is managed in line with Functional requirements and changing business needs.

**Your skills and experiences**:

- MCIPS or equivalent qualification required
- A strong track record of leadership, managing high performing, professional team and developing talent in an inclusive environment
- Extensive experience, preferably in defence or engineering and managing end to end Supply Chain and procurement on complex programmes
- Proven experience of collaboratively working as part of senior multi-functional delivery team, including Engineering and Project Management/Controls Management with experience of projects change and associated implications & negotiations
- Successfully working & collaborating in a complex programme environment with many senior Customer, Prime Contractor & supplier stakeholders

**The Maritime Naval team**:
We design and manufacture a range of naval ships, giving customers the capability to fulfil extensive naval operations. Latest Type 26 frigates being built for the UK Royal Navy and latest equipment procured for the Australian Hunter Class and Canadian Surface Combatant.

Head of Supply will engage with key stakeholders to capture, verify and agree ongoing procurement and logistics business requirements and will work closely with the global combat ship organisation and manage wide range high value and large scale contracts.
