**THE ROLE**:
Initial 18 months Level 3 Community Health & Wellbeing Apprenticeship leading to full time employment

This programme will provide you with all the training and support you need to have a rewarding career in the homelessness sector. You will:

- Receive an initial 2 weeks of basic training covering core training modules before commencing a placement at one of our hostels in London
- Be enrolled on Level 3 Community Health & Wellbeing Apprenticeship and receive an off-site tutor to support you to achieve the qualification.
- Be provided with a variety of group and individual learning activities.
- Receive salary increases based on your performance during the 18-month apprenticeship with the first increase to £25,643 per annum and a further increase to £27,710 once you demonstrate you are at Support Worker level

**THE CANDIDATE**:
The role as a Support Worker will require you to support a caseload of at least 8 customers to:

- Identify their strengths as part of our asset-based approach and identify their needs, opportunities, rights, and responsibilities to enable them to move onto to independent living
- Plan and set targets to achieve and take appropriate action to meet their goals and aspirations
- Take part in activities and provide them with opportunities that generate aspiration and confidence
- Actively promoting customer involvement and co-production.
- Create management plans alongside customers by identifying and assessing risk to ensure they are able to stay safe.
- Establish supportive and professional relationships with customers and dealing effectively with unpredictable and challenging situations in a professional and sensitive manner.
- Support our customers to identify positive move on options and live more independent lives.
- Ensure our customers can thrive and achieve their potential.
- Liaise with external partners, including accessing appropriate statutory and voluntary services.
- Ensure fair access through interviewing and assessing the suitability of referrals, based on the criteria of the project.
- Support and lead colleagues, using your existing knowledge and experience when appropriate.
- Encourage and support customers to raise complaints, comments and suggestions.

**OTHER INFORMATION**:
This is an “earn while you learn” opportunity as we offer a permanent contract on a starting salary of £19,299 per annum with a full day per week devoted to you achieving your Level 3 Community Health and Wellbeing Worker qualification. The qualification is fully funded by Evolve.
